Born and raised on the planet Earth, I was a late bloomer entering the field of illustration. I had taken up art in high school, and you know... got an "A" like everyone else. At the time I had no interest in pursuing art as a career.

At the age of 26, I took a drive to the city. Trying to find a parking space,
I found one in front of a comic book store. Thought I'd check it out.
Whoa! I was like a kid in a candy store!

To my surprise, there were more than the eight titles I had known
of since I was a kid... in fact, there were hundreds of titles! I bought
a few and started drawing and submitting spot illustrations to fanzines.

About three years later, I quit my factory job and looked for work as an artist. I was doing comic books... but it was too much work for someone who just started to get back into drawing after such a long period of time.

I got a job in advertising, but I didn't do much drawing in that field. I met a talented artist who did airbrushing and I worked for him cutting friskets and doing pencil sketches.

A couple of years later he bought a computer and started working digitally, giving up airbrushing. I decided maybe I should get a computer and see what I could do with it. It was the best thing I ever did! It opened up so many doors.

Like every one in this profession knows "The Genie is out of the bottle".

However, that may be so, but its just another tool. I still have that special passion and love for creating concept storyboards and characters with traditional pencil sketching.

Well that's my story, I hope you enjoy your visit to my site!
